Michtam Music

I plan to write a few blog posts on song sites and especially those with free congregational pieces available for listening and printing.  Michtam Music is one of those sites.  I haven't listened to all of the songs on the site yet, but I would encourage you to stop by their site and listen to the music.  Leave a comment below if there are any songs there that are a blessing to you.  I like the song "No Reserves, No Retreats, No Regrets" by author Taylor Fleury and composer Ethan Holmes.  There is a story behind the song which you can read here.

Free Church Website

Is it possible to make a free church website without ads?

  Yes!! :o)  You may want your own domain name and so that will be around $10/year but that is not necessary.  I've used yolasite.com and I've also heard good things about weebly.com.  Yola has very good customer service and it is very easy to figure out how to get started.  I was even able to put short sermons for my husband on there (about 30 minutes each).  Have questions?  Leave a comment and I will try to get back to you.

Webrangers: Cool learning tool for kids!

   When I was a kid, I remember going to a park and doing some activities to earn a special patch.  You can still do that today and maybe I'll talk about that sometime in another post.  For today, I wanted to share with you about how the National Park Service has a website where kids can sign in for free and do lots of neat activities online.  It's a great supplemental science and history learning tool.  A couple days ago, we learned about the railroad.  Click here to check it out.  Have fun!

Free Meal Planner

     About a year ago, I was hunting for a way to easily begin meal planning.  Finally, I found a website that allowed you to create your own on-line cookbook, meal planning calendar and grocery lists.  You can incorporate recipes from others on the site or add your own (and you can keep your entries private if desired).  I've tried a lot of other sites and this really seems like one of the best.  It's a great tool and best of all it's free!  Check it out and tell me what you think:  http://www.mealsmatter.org/

BookSneeze: Free Books for Bloggers

So it's been awhile since I've blogged, but my sis gave me a heads up about BookSneeze.  If you have a blog then you can sign up and get free books from Thomas Nelson.  All you have to do is review each book on your blog and on a consumer site like CBD or Amazon.  I'm looking forward to starting soon.  Just waiting for a book that looks interesting.
